Frederick Police Say Man Made Up Stabbing Report
FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- Frederick police say a man who reported being stabbed and sexually assaulted made the story up.
The man had reported being attacked in the area of Willowdale Park, but detectives who questioned him at the hospital Saturday morning concluded that the story was false.
Police say the cuts on the man's hands were self-inflicted.
The man was admitted to Frederick Memorial Hospital for a mental evaluation.
