Frederick Police: Man Tried To Grab Officer's Gun
FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- Frederick police say a man tried to grab an officer's gun as police were arresting him on suspicion of trespassing.
Police say the assault occurred Sunday evening after police pulled over a car driven by Roscoe Davis, 24, of Walkersville at the Windsor Gardens apartment complex.
Police say Davis initially refused to get out of the car, and when he did, he grabbed one of the officers in the waist area and got a hand on the officer's holstered handgun. Officers handcuffed Davis after a struggle.
Police say one of the officers had interacted with Davis on the property several times previously. He's been charged with second-degree assault, resisting arrest, trespassing and disorderly conduct.
