WJZ Sources: Freddie Gray Autopsy Completed
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A new development in the Freddie Gray investigation.
WJZ has just learned the autopsy has been completed.
It's now being turned over to the Baltimore City State's Attorney's officer and the governor.
In addition, WJZ sources indicated the Gray family will be briefed shortly on the findings.
According to WJZ sources, the medical examiner will list the cause of death as trauma to the neck and spine.
Sources also indicate authorities now believe the trauma was suffered inside the police van Gray was being transported in.
It will now be up to the state's attorney to review this autopsy report and determine whether to press charges against any of the six police officers who are currently suspended from the department.
