4 Pedestrians Struck In Glen Burnie
GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WJZ) -- Four young people are struck as they cross the ramp to a major interstate in Anne Arundel County. Emergency crews describe the scene as chaotic.

The pedestrians are being treated at Shock Trauma, and people who live in the area said the accident happened at a dangerous stretch of road.
Anne Arundel County police said there was a life threatening pedestrian accident in Glen Burnie around 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the 7600-block of Quarterfield Road.
"We were dispatched for a possible pedestrians, more than one, struck at Quarterfield Road near 100 eastbound," said Battalion Chief Steve Thompson of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.
The fire department says the scene was chaotic.
The details leading up to the accident are unclear. What's known is that four people were hit by a car on Quarterfield Road as they crossed the on-ramp to Route 100.
The victims are two 16-year-old males, a 19-year-old female and a 20-year-old male.
"Walking all the time on this road, all the time. I mean a lot of people don't have cars these days 'cause of the economy," said Roy Johnson of Severn.
All four victims were taken by ambulance to Shock Trauma in Baltimore.
People who live in this area tell WJZ the section of Quarterfield Road where the accident happened is dark and dangerous for pedestrians.
"I guess people wearing dark clothes, you know, and people not seeing them. So we really, truly need enough lighting around here for the pedestrians," said Barbara Johnson.
The specific conditions of the victims are unknown; however, WJZ was told that all four pedestrians should survive.
Anne Arundel County police are continuing to investigate.
