Former Terrapin Bruno Fernando Selected 34th Overall By 76ers, Traded To Atlanta
NEW YORK (WJZ) -- Former Maryland Terrapin star Bruno Fernando was selected in the second round of the 2019 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers.
Fernando was taken with the 34th overall pick in the draft. He was soon traded to the Atlanta Hawks.
He left College Park after his sophomore season and will now begin his NBA career in Atlanta.
Fernando is the first Angolan to play in the NBA.
