Former State Department Official Pleads Guilty To Voyeurism
WASHINGTON (AP) -- A former State Department official has pleaded guilty to charges of voyeurism and stalking in Washington.
As part of Wednesday's plea, Daniel Rosen acknowledged secretly taking cell phone video of women in various stages of undress. Prosecutors say the 45-year-old targeted women who lived in basement-level apartments.
Rosen pleaded guilty to six counts of voyeurism and five counts of stalking. Sentencing was scheduled for Oct. 9. Each of the counts of voyeurism and stalking carries a maximum penalty of one year in jail. Rosen's attorney, Bernard Grimm, says his client is getting treatment for mental health issues and hopes to start over.
Rosen was also charged earlier this year in Fairfax County with soliciting a minor online after a series of online exchanges with a police detective.
