Former Ravens RB Bernard Pierce Claimed By Jaguars
BALTIMORE (WJZ)—Former Ravens running back Bernard Pierce was picked by the Jacksonville Jaguars, one day after he was released from the Ravens for an alleged drunk driving incident.
The Jaguars made the announcement on Thursday, saying they acquired the fourth-year running back off waivers.
"God works in mysterious ways," Pierce wrote on Twitter shortly after the announcement. He later deleted the tweet.
Police say Pierce was going more than 20 miles over the speed limit when he was stopped and charged with driving under the influence.

Court documents show as he was being arrested, Pierce told the officer, "Do you know what happened the last time a Ravens player got a DUI? I'm getting cut tomorrow. Not like you care."
Pierce is the ninth Ravens player arrested in the past 13 months and the third cut this off-season.
