Former Ravens Arthur Jones Suspended Four Games For PEDs
Baltimore (WJZ) -- Former Ravens DE Arthur Jones has been suspended the first four games of the 2016 NFL Season for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances.
Arthur Jones, a former fifth round pick, signed a 5 year deal worth $33 million in 2014 with the Indianapolis Colts after four years with the Baltimore Ravens. Jones is allowed to participate in training camp and preseason football, but will be unable to play football for the first four weeks of the season.
This substance violation comes at the heels of another violation by his brother in the UFC. Jon "Bones" Jones was recently removed from the main event of UFC 200 due to illegal substances found during a drug test. There's a possibility that he could be suspended for 2 years due to the violation.
The Colts have found it difficult to get steady production out of Arthur Jones since signing him to the 5 year deal. Since joining the team, Jones has only played 9 games for Indianapolis primarily due to an ankle injury that had him miss the entire 2015 season.
