Former Prince George's Charity Administrator Charged
LARGO, Md. (AP) -- A former administrator of a nonprofit group in Prince George's County has been charged with stealing more than $100,000 from the organization.
According to an affidavit filed in federal court, auditors found that Penny Parker Green had stolen about $136,600 to $166,140 from the Arc of Prince George's. Green, of Bowie, was arrested and charged with wire fraud in federal court last week.
The affidavit says Green used Arc funds and a credit card provided by the organization to buy clothing, furniture and a trip, and then forged paperwork suggesting the items were for clients.
The Largo-based organization helps people with disabilities and their families.
Green's attorney, Richard Finci, said he was reviewing materials in the case and could not comment on the allegations.
