Former NFL Scout Dan Shonka Reviews The Performance By The Ravens In The NFL Draft
Dan Shonka is a former NFL scout who is now runs Ourlads.com covering the NFL Draft and college football.
Dan joined Ken and Steve to talk about the 11 players the Ravens drafted in the 2016 NFL Draft and whether or not they did well over the weekend.
Dan started off by talking about Kamalei Correa the Ravens 2nd round pick whom he had rated as a 4th or 5th round player saying "I was kind of in the short end of the stick with my staff they liked him much better than I did...I think he's got a lot to learn, he's a good player but I would have settled on him in the late third to fourth round area." As for what Kamalei Correa needs to work on to get his game up Dan said "he has to learn how to play in coverage, he can rush the passer that's his big thing...he needs to learn to be a multiple ability guy learning man and zone coverage."
Dan talked about the Ravens selection of Keenan Reynolds and the imp "he's going to play probably in the slot, and to be a good run after catch guy...he really looked great at the practices for the East West Shrine game." As for what kind of skills Keenan has to bring to the table for the Ravens Dan said "he caught the ball well especially for a guy who was an option quarterback, he's very slippery."
Dan also talked about the rest of the Ravens draft class, and whether he thinks the Ravens have done a good job of adding talent to their roster.
