Gary Williams Talks Maryland Basketball
Former Maryland Terrapins Head Basketball Coach Gary Williams joined Sports Rehab to give his thoughts on the current Maryland Terps squad as well as the general landscape of college basketball for the 2015-16 season.
The Maryland Terps basketball team have started the 2015-16 season winning their first two games defeating Mt. St. Mary's and Georgetown. Maryland's preseason ranking of #3 is the programs highest since 2001-2002 season in which the Terps won the National Championship. The bigger win of the first two was the win over Georgetown this past Tuesday. It was the first time the two schools have met since 1992 and the first time in College Park since 1974. When asked about the significance of rivalry with the Hoyas, Coach Williams said "It helped us get back on the map. After not being able to be on TV for two years prior, it was a good to showcase our program."
