First Lady To Discuss Childhood Obesity In D.C.
WASHINGTON (AP) -- First lady Michelle Obama is discussing her campaign to combat childhood obesity during a conference in Washington.
Obama is scheduled to address the National League of Cities conference on Tuesday about her "Let's Move!" physical fitness campaign. Since launching the initiative in 2010, Obama has taken the campaign before school groups, food makers and others, urging them to build more bike paths and playgrounds and to serve healthier school lunches. She even held an exercise class with children on the White House lawn.
