Firm Plans Concrete Products Plant In Western Md.

HANCOCK, Md. (AP) -- A building-materials company says it plans to produce lightweight concrete products in Hancock.

Privately held Evolve Composites of Torrance, Calif., says it will create at least 60 jobs within three years at the former Fleetwood Travel Trailer plant.

Chief Executive Martin Bristow tells The Herald-Mail newspaper of Hagerstown that Evolve is expanding into the northeastern United States after opening plants in Pompano Beach, Fla., and Birmingham, Ala.

The Fleetwood trailer plant closed in 2005.
