Firefighters Rescue Man From City Fire
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Baltimore City firefighters rescued a man from a fire at 12:45 a.m. Saturday. Units arrived to find a two-story occupied brick building with fire and smoke coming from the second floor.
Firefighters found an unconscious victim. He suffered smoke inhalation and near life threatening injuries from the fire. The patient was treated on the scene and transported to an area hospital for further treatment.
The fire was contained to the second floor and was extinguished shortly thereafter.
No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. It's not known if the home had working smoke detectors.
