Firefighters Battle House Fire
JOPPA, Md. (WJZ) -- The Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company battled a house fire Saturday afternoon.
According to officials, it happened Saturday afternoon in the 100 block of Kenyon Court.
Fire officials say that an occupant was cooking on the stove. She went upstairs for a few minutes and then began to smell smoke. When she went downstairs, she saw the kitchen was on fire.
Officials say there weren't smoke alarms in the home.
