Firefighter Injured In Wegman's Bel Air Blaze
ABINGDON, Md. (WJZ)— A firefighter was injured in a Sunday night fire at Wegman's in Bel Air.
Fourteen pieces of fire apparatus with 40 volunteer firefighters and paramedics and four career firefighters responded to the scene at 21 Wegmans Boulevard in Abingdon.
Around 6:45 pm, the fire was located in the kitchen area.
Firefighters brought hoses into the store to extinguish the fire. Additional firefighters used ladders to access the roof, looking for any hidden fire.
The fire was contained to the stove of the Asian Wokery section of the kitchen area.
One firefighter was injured during the incident. He was transported to the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, where he was treated and released with an injured hand.
