Fire Damages Downtown Hagerstown Building
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Fire investigators are going to work in downtown Hagerstown after a blaze destroyed the top two floors of a vacant, five-story building.
The Herald-Mail reported Friday that the fire at 21 West Antietam Street was reported late Thursday night.
Hagerstown Fire Marshal Doug DeHaven says firefighters worked all night to make sure the fire was out.
He says the building has been vacant for years. The first floor once housed commercial space, and the four upper floors contained apartments.
