Federal Indictment Says 3 Members Of MS-13 Killed 2 In Md.
BALTIMORE (AP) -- A federal indictment says three members of the Salvadoran gang La Mara Salvatrucha, or MS-13, killed two people in Maryland and wounded or threatened four others.
U.S. Attorney Rod Rosenstein announced the superseding indictment Monday in Baltimore.
One of the men, Aldair Garcia-Miranda of Wheaton, pleaded not guilty Thursday to the charges of racketeering conspiracy, conspiracy to commit murder and attempted murder.
His lawyer didn't immediately respond to calls and an email from The Associated Press.
Court records do not list attorneys for co-defendants Selvin Salazar of Wheaton and Raul Landaverde-Giron of Silver Spring.
The indictment says Garcia-Miranda and Landaverde-Giron killed a man in Frederick who had fled El Salvador to escape the gang's death order.
The indictment says Salazar killed a rival gang member in Prince George's County.
