FBI Names New Leader For Baltimore Field Office
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The FBI's Baltimore field office has a new leader.
Stephen E. Vogt, who began his FBI career in 1989 and most recently served as the legal attache in Kabul, was named to the position on Tuesday.
He replaces Richard McFeely, who moved to FBI headquarters in July.
Vogt had been legal attache since 2010 in Afghanistan, where he oversaw FBI operations in the country.
Before that, he was an assistant special agent in Washington field office, overseeing violent crime programs, organized crime and other initiatives. He also helped establish a task force to deal with criminal street gangs in Prince George's County.
Vogt also served at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad.
