Fans Eager To Watch Ravens Face Broncos In Game 2 Of Playoffs
BALTIMORE (WJZ)— Ravens fans are looking ahead to the big game in Denver.
Meghan McCorkell was with fans on this Purple Monday.
This was a huge Purple Monday in Baltimore with many fans celebrating and gearing up for Saturday.
Just hours after Baltimore's big win, more playoff shirts are hot off the presses.
At Mother's in Federal Hill, bartender Jorgen Eliason wore his purple pride on his face.
"Second year in a row. It's a playoff beard. Last year, it was a lot bigger and crazy. It's a lot more toned down this year," Eliason said.
Fans are now focused on next week. WJZ Fan Cam asked Baltimore what the Ravens' biggest challenge is against Denver.
"Peyton Manning. That's it right there. We got to stop him," said one fan.
"We've got to focus on offense. We've got to pass that ball, throw it to Flacco," said a fan.
"Everybody's got to show their support, even if you can't fly to Denver," said another fan.
If you do want to get out to Denver to see the game, it's going to cost you a pretty penny. The average cost for a ticket is $423. That's the highest price for a divisional round game since 2010.
Brian Snyder with Bmore Around Town is offering a package deal to Mile High Stadium. It includes airfare, hotel, game tickets, transportation and a tailgate for about $1,300 a person.
"Pretty much your whole trip is one cost and we take care of everything. You pretty much show up to the airport on Friday morning," Snyder said.
Ravens fan Mike Beczkowski bet big, booking his trip to Denver two weeks ago.
"I was able to get a lot better fare deal than had I waited 'til today," Beczkowski said.
He's confident the Ravens will be on the road again.
"I'm already booked to New England," Beczkowski said.
Tickets to the game aren't the only thing making the trip to Denver expensive. The average cost for a flight from BWI to Denver is about $600.
You can watch the Ravens' second playoff game on WJZ-TV. They will take on Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos at 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
