Relatives Of Man Who Died In Baltimore Police Custody Speak Out
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The family of a Baltimore man who died in police custody speaks out. Meanwhile, police say the officers involved are still on active duty despite an internal investigation.
"We ask that the community look at this, not as an isolated incident, but as a microcosm of the greater issues within Baltimore City," said Neil Norris Jr., victim's cousin.
Tyrone West was pulled over for a routine traffic stop on Kitmore Road in Northeast Baltimore on Thursday evening.
Police say West interfered with a search, and that's when witnesses say the officers started beating him.
His family is now asking for witnesses to contact their attorney.
