Eye On The Enemy: Previewing The Titans With Keith Bulluck
Keith Bulluck from Sirius XM NFL joins The Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn and Jason La Canfora to talk about the upcoming game against the Baltimore Ravens and The Tennessee Titans. Keith Bulluck was a 1st round pick for the Tennessee Titans in 2000. He retired in 2010 and is now a Sirius XM NFL broadcaster. The Titans are coming off a bye and hoping they are refreshed enough to beat the Ravens. However, they have a record of 2-6. The Ravens on the other hand haven't had a break since the start of the season and are in desperate need of a win, even though their record is 5-4. They are currently at the bottom of their division.
Bulluck says, "The culture of the Tennessee Titans has changed. Coach has changed, GM has changed. Any kind of change is going to take time." The game this weekend against the Ravens is going to be tough. He states, "Jake locker can't stay healthy. He's [head coach] trying to see what guys he can trust. This is going to be a great test for the young players." Rookie quarterback Zach Mettenberger will be making the start against the Ravens this weekend. The Ravens defense will definitely be taking advantage of that situation. The Titans haven't had a core team for approximately 5 or 6 years according to Bulluck.
Bulluck hasn't been out of the NFL for long but he feels the NFL is "such a passing game now." He says it's great for the fans, but "the league is making it such an offensive friendly game." He thinks the NFL is doing a great job of preserving their product, but also thinks the game has just changed. He says the game is a physical game, but with all the penalties being called, players are hesitant to make those aggressive plays because they don't want penalize the team.
The Ravens face the Titans in Tennessee on Sunday at 1pm.
