Eye On The Enemy: Game 2 Orioles Vs. Red Sox
EYE ON THE ENEMY GAME 2 ORIOLES VS RED SOX
Ian Browne who covers the Red Sox for MLB.com joined Scott and Jeremy to discuss Game 2 of the Orioles opening series against the World Champions. The first thing that was brought up was the pitching of both teams, who wear able to weather the storms of runners on base. "Its the kind of game you like to see on opening day. Two ace starters kind of going toe to toe and it comes down one big hit."
The Orioles have been on the winning side of the rivalries for the past couple of years, Ian thinks that the numbers could be skewed. "I think that number is a little skewed because the Red Sox just stunk. They were 24 games under .500, I think the Orioles were like 15-4 and against them. Last year, really competitive games between the two teams."
When asked if Ian has had a change of heart in his division predictions, Ian is a fan of the birds. "I loved Baltimore last year, I thought they were going to make a late run, and now they have added a couple of nice pieces here with Ubaldo who we will see tonight, and Nelson Cruz who I thought was a great pick. So I like Baltimore, don't sleep on the Orioles."
