Andrea Fujii has reaction from excited Ravens fans.
The race to the Super Bowl is officially on, and fans say they are ready to take on Tom Brady and the Patriots.
Tailgating started at the crack of dawn.
"I was up at 5 o'clock this morning. I was so excited," said one fan.
Also excited, actor Josh Charles, from the CBS hit series "The Good Wife," who came back to his hometown to be part of the playoff action.
"I'm really happy to be here today because we haven't experience this in a while here in Baltimore," Charles said.
As game time approached, bars throughout Maryland filled up with a sea of purple. All those customers were good for a bar owners' business.
"A little money? Look at these guys. They are drinking like fish. It's fantastic," one bar owner said.
And fantastic is how many fans felt about the game as the points added up, so did accolades for the players.
"Joe Flacco is fantastic. I'm wacko for Flacco," a fan said.
"Ed Reed. When in doubt our defense has always gotten us through it," said another fan.
And when the final score was tallied, fans immediately set their sights on New England.
"Flacco is going to walk into New England and own that town," one fan said.
"The Patriots only have a passing game. They don't have a running game. They don't have a defense. So Tom Brady we're coming for you," a Ravens fan said.
"We're coming for New England, and we're going to the Super Bowl," said another fan.
"We're gonna win. We going all the way baby! Wooh!" one fan shouted.
That's the sentiment felt across the state as Ravens fans hold on to at least one more week of football season.
It's been 12 years since the Ravens won a championship, and fans are ready to be back on top.
