Excitement Builds As Ravens Fans Prepare For Third Preseason Game

BALTIMORE (WJZ)—It's a purple Thursday. M&T Bank Stadium will be packed again Thursday night for the Ravens third preseason game.

Jessica Kartalija shows us the building excitement among the fans.

At McHenry Row in Locust Point, Baltimore's new Green Turtle is preparing for the Ravens rush.

"Tonight we are hoping to have another good turnout to see the Ravens run shop on the opposing team," said Brad Borst, Green Turtle manager.

With the official start of the season just two weeks away, Borst says they're prepared for a packed house.

"We are going to be running great draft specials throughout the season as well as other specials for food and beverage all season long," he said.

Fans weighed in on the WJZ Fan Cam.

"The offensive line needs to gel better," one fan said.

"We really need to work on our secondary. We're getting too many passes caught on us," another fan said.

"I'm upset that we've lost Suggs. I think he was an integral part of the defense," a fan said.

"They weren't carrying the ball too well. They weren't moving those chains," one fan said about the last preseason game.

But some say pregame is more social than serious.

"I'll watch early on in the game. After that's it's more a social event," said Mark McTamney.

"I'll watch the game," said Nick Miller. "It's fun to see the starters and how they are looking and if any of the young guys are going to be good.  I'm not worried about the outcome, doesn't matter if they win or lose. It doesn't account for much."

Count on WJZ to bring you all the action when the 2012 regular season kicks off on Sept. 10.
