Exchange Student Charged With Child Sex Abuse
NEW MARKET, Md. (AP) -- An exchange student from Colombia has been charged with child sex abuse of a 9-year-old girl.
Court documents filed in Frederick County District Court show that 19-year-old Robert Alex Saldarriaga-Yepes has been charged sex abuse of a minor and other sex offenses. He is being held on $65,000 bail.
The Frederick News-Post reports that documents indicate the girl and her mother reported the alleged abuse to the school she and Saldarriaga-Yepes attend on Wednesday.
