Ex-Reservist Pleads Guilty To Producing Child Porn
BALTIMORE (AP) -- A former Navy reservist has pleaded guilty to sexually exploiting minors to produce child pornography.
Thirty-year-old Anthony Mastrogiovanni of Crofton entered the plea Wednesday in federal court in Baltimore. He faces a minimum mandatory sentence of 15 years in prison at sentencing July 31.
According to court documents, Mastrogiovanni was a U.S. Navy reservist between 2006 and 2012. Prosecutors say he sexually exploited more than 30 boys in Maryland and Louisiana to produce child pornography.
Authorities say he befriended his victims through his military affiliation and recorded sexually explicit videos of the children on hidden cameras in his homes.
