Ex-Director Pleads Guilty To Theft From Princess Anne
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. (AP) -- A woman who pleaded guilty to a theft scheme that bilked the town of Princess Anne of more than $15,000 has received a suspended sentence.
Latoshia Bailey, 29, was also ordered to pay restitution at sentencing on Thursday.
Bailey, the former director of a municipal youth center who developed a model after-school program, was accused of submitting fraudulent worker hours to the town, then cashing paychecks for program employees who had not worked.
Her attorney claimed that Bailey had been deceived in the scheme.
