ESPN: Breshad Perriman Partially Tears ACL
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- According to ESPN, Breshad Perriman has partially torn his ACL.
Jamison Hensley, beat writer of the Ravens for ESPN, reported that Perriman partially tore his ACL in the final OTA of the offseason.
The wide receiver injured his left knee and will meet with doctors on Monday to decide what happens next. Surgery is an option, which would end his season.
Breshad Perriman has had difficulty getting on the football field due to injury since being drafted in the first round of the NFL Draft in 2015. Without him, the Ravens were very slow on offense and struggled to utilize Joe Flacco's arm. This offseason, Baltimore signed WR Mike Wallace and drafted Chris Moore in the fourth round to add much needed speed to the offense.
But word out of the castle was that Perriman was hitting his stride in OTA's and was on course to make an immediate impact for the offense in 2016. With the ACL on partially torn, there is hope he can return sometime this season, but an injury such as this can be very tricky.
