Elkridge Man Accused In 1991 Murder Indicted
ELKRIDGE, Md. (AP) -- A Howard County grand jury has indicted an Elkridge man accused in the 1991 killing of his wife.
Robert Arnold Jarrett was indicted this week after being arrested last month. The 57-year-old is facing a first-degree
murder charge and is being held without bail at the Howard County Detention Center.
Robert Jarrett reported his wife, Christine, missing in 1991, saying she had walked away from their home after an argument.
Police say they had long suspected foul play, but lacked the evidence at the time to prove it.
Authorities recently searched the home and found the remains of a woman believed to be Christine Jarrett under the floorboards of a shed in the backyard.
