Firefighters Battle Blaze In Elkridge
ELKRIDGE, Md. (WJZ) -- Firefighters battled a massive home fire Friday night in Elkridge.
According to officials, shortly before midnight Friday night, they received a 911 call from a neighbor reporting a house fire on the 6300-block of Loudon Avenue.
Nine adults and one infant were in the residence. All 10 made it out.
More than half the home was heavily engulfed in fire. It took 60 firefighters to contain the blaze.
One resident was taken to Shock Trauma with non-life threatening injuries. A Howard County police officer was taken to Howard County General for smoke inhalation.
The Red Cross is helping the family.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
