Ed Norris: Happy For Pagano...But
Of course we should be happy to see Chuck Pagano rewarded for doing a great job with our Raven's defense. It should be a source of pride that so many coaches from this organization have gone on the top jobs in other cities ( Ryan, Lewis, Nolan, Pagano and others). Some may say that it's easy to look good when you have pro bowl and hall of fame quality players on your roster and there is a level of truth in that to be sure. However, I still like the way Chuck prepared for opponents and called the defense during the games. Plus, the players liked him which gets the best out of them.
The problem though is the fact that we may see a bit of an exodus like we did when another "players" coach left. Did you ever think you'd see so many Ravens players wearing Jets uniforms? Well, here we go again. I think you'll see players follow for sure. There are a few guys who are unrestricted free agents on the defensive side of the ball that may be wearing Colt's blue next season.
How would it sit with you given the history of the Colts sneaking out of Baltimore? What if it was Jarret Johnson? Jameel McClain? Haruki Nakamura? Tom Zbikowski? How about a few other coaching staff members?
Well, no one knows for sure who it's going to be but be assured there will be some.
