Elementary Music Teacher Charged With Possession Of Child Porn
DUNDALK, Md. (WJZ)— A Montgomery County elementary school teacher is arrested for possession of child pornography.
Baltimore County Police have charged Lawrence Joynes, 54, of the 1900-block of Ormand Road with one count of possession child pornography involving material found on a computer in his Dundalk home.
Investigation revealed he was a music teacher in Montgomery County's New Hampshire Estates Elementary in Silver Spring.
Montgomery County Police have been notified and will conduct an investigation to determine if any criminal offenses occurred in Montgomery County.
Joynes is currently in the Baltimore County Detention Center on $1 million bail.
No further information can be released at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
