Driver Charged In Accident That Killed Pedestrian
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- A driver who struck and killed a 15-year-old high school student who was crossing a street in Laurel has been charged with criminally negligent manslaughter.
The Capital of Annapolis reports that 33-year-old Abraham Micah Evans of Laurel is also charged with reckless driving, negligent driving and speeding.
Police say Evans hit Jaelin Ashe of Laurel on Dec. 20, 2012, as Ashe was trying to cross Route 198 at Russett Green East. Ashe was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
