Drew Nicholas On Maryland Terrapins Basketball
Drew Nicholas played basketball at the University of Maryland, College Park with the Maryland Terrapins from 1999 to 2003, and helped Maryland win its first National Championship.
Steve Davis asked Nicholas if he thought the loss to Wisconsin was a red flag and a cause for concern. Nicholas agreed and said, "that was a game that showed when Melo Trimble isn't playing well, you see how valuable he is to this team. When he's not playing well, he's not scoring and it creates a huge problem." Davis said that the Terps offense comes to a "screeching" halt when Trimble isn't in the game.
When asked about Diamond Stone's suspension and the timing paired with the upcoming game. Nicholas thinks the refs got it wrong and "it's clearly a situation he needs to learn from."
