Altercation Leads To Big Marijuana Drug Bust In Joppa
JOPPA, Md. (WJZ)—In Harford County, two people are behind bars, charged in connection with a big drug bust.
Sheriff's deputies say they made the bust after responding to a domestic altercation at a home on Chatfield Road in Joppa.
Deputies seized eight pounds of marijuana, indoor growing equipment and more than $8,000 in cash.
Michael Brandt, 26, and Julia Leonard, 24, are charged with possession of marijuana and possession with intent to distribute.
The marijuana has an estimated street value of $1,500 per pound or $32,000 if sold by the ounce.
Brandt was released after posting a $50,000 bond and Leonard was released after posting a $35,000 bond.
