Documents: Slain Dancer Was Giving Police Info

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Court documents show that dancer in Baltimore's adult entertainment district was selling drugs and providing police with information before she was slain.

Cherrie Gammon, 25, was shot several times and killed Dec. 12 near Leakin Park. Hassan Muhammed, 32, of Baltimore was arrested this month and charged with murder in her death.

A police department spokesman said he could not confirm or deny whether Gammon was a police informant.

The documents indicate that witnesses told police Gammon was selling heroin and crack cocaine for Donte Baker, Muhammed, and a man nicknamed "Miami."

Baker, 20, was arrested Dec. 28 on handgun and drug charges.
