DNA Evidence Links Baltimore Man To Attempted Rape
BALTIMORE (WJZ)—Baltimore Police say they've linked a dangerous sexual predator to another brutal assault.
Nelson Clifford was already charged with two rapes in November—one on Greenmount Avenue and the other in Reservoir Hill.
DNA evidence has now linked Clifford to an attempted rape on Harlem Avenue in West Baltimore.
Police say Clifford threatened the woman with an ice pick and ordered her to undress before finally running away.
The suspect in this case has a long criminal history. Clifford was charged with sex crimes for the first time in 1997.
He is now being held without bail.
