Disgraced Rabbi To Resign From Post At Towson University
TOWSON, Md. (WJZ) -- Disgraced rabbi Barry Freundel is stepping down from his post at Towson University.
A university spokesperson confirms the rabbi turned in his resignation letter on Thursday, Feb. 26.
Freundel admits to using hidden cameras to record dozens of women in a ritual bath known as a Mikveh.
Prosecutors say he recorded more than 150 women, labeling video clips with their names and initials.
Freundel was a professor at both Georgetown and Towson universities; many of his victims were students.
His resignation from Towson is effective March 27, 2015.
