In talking about the Michael Sam situation, Mason thinks the people that are on the fence are going to say why did ESPN have to show it, some people just arent pda kind of people.
"If you want anyone to respect your outlook you need to respect theirs," Mason said.
Mason said Flacco can thrive in this short passing game, eventually. In the past, Flacco's weakness has been short and intermediate passes.
"Joe's been through 2-3 offensive coordinators and he needs some stability right now," Mason said.
Steve Smith was added this off-season from the Carolina Panthers.
"I'm not saying he doesn't have any good years left, but it you're saying 900-1000 yard guy I don't think you're going to get that," Mason said.
Smith brings some veteran leadership and understands the game. He is a set of reliable hands to go with Pitta and the other guys.
Mason believe the Ravens draft overall was good. C.J. Mosely out of Alabama was drafted in the first round.
"They were not going to let an Alabama guy pass, it's hard for Ozzie to pass him up," Mason said.
