Delaware Rallies Past Towson 66-63

TOWSON, Md. (AP) -- Freshman Devon Saddler hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer and Delaware ended a 23-game Colonial Athletic Association road losing streak Saturday with a 66-63 win over Towson.

Saddler's basket capped an 18-6 run in the final 6:34 that erased a nine-point Towson lead. Towson made only 2 of 9 field-goal attempts during that span and went without a basket for the final 3 minutes.

Jawan Carter scored 19 points, including 4 of 5 from 3-point range, and Saddler added 13 for the Blue Hens (8-8, 3-3) who snapped a five-game losing streak in the series.

Delaware shot 52.4 percent (22 of 42) from the field and 60 percent (9 of 15) from 3-point range.

Braxton Dupree had his sixth double-double of the season with 19 points and 11 rebounds for Towson (4-12, 0-6), which lost its fifth straight. Josh Brown added 15 points, Isaish Philmore 11 and Rashawn Polk 10 for the Tigers.
