Delaney Outpacing Rep. Bartlett In Fundraising
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Democrat John Delaney continues to raise more money than Republican incumbent Rep. Roscoe Bartlett in the campaign for Maryland's 6th Congressional District.
The Baltimore Sun reports that campaign financing statements filed Monday show that Bartlett raised just over $218,000 in the latest quarter. He had nearly $221,000 on hand at the end of September.
Delaney raised just over $399,000 and loaned his campaign an additional $118,600. He had $249,000 in the bank at the end of September.
The Potomac businessman is mounting a strong challenge to Bartlett's bid for an 11th term in a district made competitive by redistricting.
