Dear Joe: Sports Illustrated Cover Invites Flacco To Rewrite His Legacy
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Less than a week after leading the Baltimore Ravens to a remarkable double overtime win over the Denver Broncos, quarterback Joe Flacco is gracing the cover of this week's issue of Sports Illustrated.
With a picture of him throwing the ball, the headline reads "DEAR JOE, Last Weekend You Took Down Peyton. On Sunday You Get Brady — And the Chance, Once and for All, to Rewrite Your Legacy. All the Best, The Football Gods."
Flacco tossed for 331 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions to guide the Ravens to an upset victory over the number 1 seed Broncos in the AFC playoffs. The victory propelled the Ravens to the AFC Championship this Sunday against the New England Patriots in Massachusetts.
This version of Sports Illustrated with Flacco on the cover will be sold in Maryland and parts of the Mid-Atlantic.
You can catch all the action on WJZ starting at 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
