DC Prepares To Deploy Snow Trucks For Sunday Into Monday
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The District of Columbia plans to deploy more than 200 snow trucks this weekend for a potential winter storm that could bring snow and rain to the area.
Mayor Muriel Bowser announced that snow trucks would be deployed Sunday morning for the possible wintry mix of precipitation. This will be the District's sixth full deployment of snow trucks this winter.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service say there is a possibility of light snow early Sunday, but no accumulation is expected. Later there may be a mix of rain and snow in the Baltimore and Washington areas, changing over to all rain by the evening. Forecasters say snow is possible again during the Monday morning commute.
