D.C. Man Shot While Visiting Family In Annapolis
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Police say a 23-year-old Washington, D.C., man was shot while visiting family in Annapolis.
The Capital reports that officers called to a home in the Robinwood community around noon on Thursday found a man lying face-up on a sidewalk suffering from a single gunshot wound to his his chest.
Police say the man, identified as Brian Williams, told investigators that a man with a handgun confronted him. Police spokeswoman Cpl. Amy Miguez says it doesn't appear that the men knew had contact with each other before the incident.
The shooter ran away, and officers were unable to find him.
Williams was taken to the Shock Trauma in Baltimore with life-threatening injuries, but was in stable condition later in the day.
