James Madison Beats Towson 75-70
HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) -- A.J. Davis came off the bench to score 17 points and Devon Moore made 9 of 10 free throws en route to a double-double to help James Madison edge Towson 75-70 Tuesday night in Colonial Athletic Association action.
Andre Nation added 14 points and Rayshawn Goins chipped in 12 and a game-high eight rebounds.
Moore, who finished with 13 points and 10 assists, gave James Madison (15-12, 9-5) the lead for good, 59-58, with his tip-in at the 4:38 mark in the second half and sank eight free throws in the final 45 seconds to help the Dukes pull away.
Marcus Damas scored 19 points for Towson (14-13, 9-5). The Tigers controlled the boards 44-29 behind double-doubles from Jerrelle Benimon (12 points, 13 rebounds) and Bilal Hairston (13 points, 13 rebounds), but committed 15 turnovers.
The Dukes, who had just five turnovers, turned Towson's errors into 18 points.
