David Cottle, coach of Major League Lacrosse's Chesapeake Bayhawks, joined Scott and Jeremy for another edition of Cottle's Corner.
One game out of a playoff spot, coach Cottle's Bayhawks are coming off of a 16-15 win over the Boston Cannons as they prepare to head out to Colorado to face off against the Denver Outlaws, and talked about the performance of his players in the Boston game. "Ben Hunt has obviously had six goals and two assists as a midfielder, and he really got off to a good start he was getting to the middle of the field, we watched film, it felt like he was rolling back and going right … We just felt like keep going until they stop you ."
Coach Cottle also commented on the season performance for his team, likening the mindset he wants to see that of the San Antonio Spurs. "it's funny, I've never felt like we played well. The whole season, even when we beat New York, they asked me what I thought, I said it's like putting lipstick on a pig, we just didn't play well. … Hopefully, we're starting to see a trend that they're getting to trust each other, and if you can't see it from the San Antonio Spurs, who can you see it from?"
