Dave Cottle Head Coach Of The Chesapeake Bayhwaks
Cottle's Corner
Dave Cottle, head coach of the Chesapeake Bayhwaks, joins Scott and Jeremy to discuss his team's recent trade, as well as the USA's national team.
Being a last place team, the Bayhawks felt comfortable enough to shake things up with their roster, trying to gain any momentum into next season. Head coach Dave Cottle likes the potential gain of the deal.
"We traded a couple of players who have been with us for awhile, David Earl and Stephen Brooks, and we acquired Kevin Crowley, who was the offensive player of the year two years ago, because he plays with Joe Walters really well. [Crowley] has had a rough year, but we think he'll be better playing with Walters," said Cottle.
Cottle's team did acquire a new player, but will be without several as they take on the Rattlers in their next game.
"If it's not one thing it's the other-we're going to play without our five national players this week against the rattlers."
Speaking of the national players, they seem to have made the U.S. team even stronger, in Cottle's opinion at least.
"I thought the USA team looked impressive, and if they keep improving, they're going to be a handful for everyone. I was impressed with their offense," said Cottle.
