Cyberbullying Bill Named After Howard County Teen Moves To Senate
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ) -- A cyberbullying bill inspired by a Howard County teen moves to the Senate.
According to WJZ's media partner, the Baltimore Sun, the measure passed in the House Saturday.
The bill is named "Grace's Law" after Grace McComas, who committed suicide last year.
She was the victim of harassment on social media.
The bill would outlaw sites like Facebook and Twitter in cyberbullying.
The penalty for violation would be a fine or jail time.
