Cummings Endorses Rawlings-Blake's Reelection Bid
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Rep. Elijah Cummings is endorsing Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake's reelection bid.
Cummings planned to announce his endorsement at a news conference in Baltimore on Friday morning, but rescheduled the event so he could stay in Washington for ongoing federal budget negotiations.
Cummings says he is endorsing Rawlings-Blake because of her "strong economic plan, successful fight against crime and her inspiring vision to move Baltimore forward."
